The Isle of Gigha is situated off the west coast of Kintyre in Scotland. with excellent Sea Kayak Touring, beautiful sandy beaches and rugged cliffs this island is a hidden treasure.
This Sea Kayak Tour is a 3 day journey which includes 2 nights on a camp site and one wild camp.
This is a paradise island and is about 2 1/2 hours drive from Glasgow to the Gigha Ferry in Tayinloan. This island offers excellent paddling with beautiful sandy beaches and rugged cliffs.
The last ferry departs Tayinloan for Gigha on Friday evening at 6pm and on Sunday departs Gigha for Tayinloan at 4.30pm.
This 3 day journey is aimed at those who can achieve paddling for 4-6 hours per day and also enjoy what else Gigha has to offer. It is expected that everyone will have sea kayaked before, but a high level of competence is not required. We would aim to improve people’s personal paddling and to enjoy this beautiful island.
It is possible to stay in one of the excellent B&Bs or self-catering cottages, let us know your preference.
This is an ideal journey for someone who has been on one of our beginner weekends and want to experience island sea kayaking from a comfortable camp site or B&B.
