A great trip for people who have been on one of our Brighouse weekends

Isles of Scilly

The Isles of Scilly are located off the most South Westerly tip of Great Britain. This sub-tropical archipelago is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK and its crystal clear turquoise waters are just beautiful. Lisa and I visited the islands last year and spent an amazing week paddling its shore. We were captivated by the area and can’t wait to show you. Click here for more details.

Norway – Lofoten Islands

150 -200 km north of the Arctic Circle lies the Lofoten islands. As you paddle along you will pass sheer waterfalls, the mountains simply appear out of the sea punctuated by sandy beaches offering easy landings and amazing wild camps where you can sit in this mesmerising scenery, talking about the day and eating freshly made, home cooking. Click here for more details.

OThe Skye Experience

During this 4 day adventure we will be offering camp site based day trips around the beautiful coastline of Skye, keep your eye out for all the amazing wildlife.

If the group experience and weather is appropriate then we will offer a circumnavigation of  Raasay and Rona.

We will be camping at the Sligachan Hotel camp site and either offering day trips or the Raasay and Rona island circumnavigation.

This is a camping trip. Camp fees not included. B&B available if you would prefer.

Not a particularly technical trip but a bit more committing, paddles who are fit and have done one or two of our Brighouse weekends will find this trip exciting interesting and very enjoyable.

Summer Isles 2013Summer Isles

This is a campsite based trip. We will be staying on the camp site at Altandhu NB987123.

The plan is to carry out day trips from the site, however if the weather is appropriate and the groups wants to we will undertake an expedition to Priest island returning via either Horse Island and Tanera More.

I know this may all seem a little vague but that’s the nature of the beast. We will have a great week and do loads of sea kayaking.

This is a great extended trip which is ideal those wanting to improve their paddling, having completed one other starter expeditions

Colonsay 2011 110aColonsay

This is a wild camping expedition where we plan to paddle around Colonsay

Meet and catch the ferry from Oban to Colonsay at 17.00 arriving Colonsay at 19.20.
We will be travelling as foot passengers and taking our packed sea kayaks onto the ferry so a trolley are essential.

On arrival we will have a short paddle to our overnight campsite. from there the trip is very weather dependant. However we hope to complete a circumnavigation of Colonsay and aim to catch the 11.55 ferry back to Oban on Thursday arriving in Oban at 14.15.

However our poor weather alternative is the 19.35 ferry on Friday arriving in Oban at 21.55.

I know this may all seem a little vague but that’s the nature of the beast. We will have a great week and do loads of sea kayaking.

In the event of very poor weather we will discuss options but we will paddle.

This trip falls between the intro expeditions and the Outer Hebrides. It’s a great trip with the west coast being a little challenging at time.
